Below is a list of colleges and universities
offering instruction in/about storytelling (oral narrative).
Two raison d'etres of this list are:
To promote the idea that
Storytelling Studies is an academic discipline,
which could be taught in Departments of Storytelling
(which would have "study about" and "how-to" sections).
To let people know where they might study storytelling
within academically-accredited institutions.
(Many colleges permit un-matriculated students
to attend courses--contact the department for info.)
It is assumed that instructors
who teach how to tell stories also teach about storytelling.
If the instruction is solely ABOUT storytelling,
next to the instructor's name appears "(ABOUT)."
Instruction is given in English unless otherwise noted.
